That's me with the four boxes of lights. Whitney says she got these kind because they were from the sixties, her favorite decade. I love the sixties too, and in case you don't know why, it was because that was back when Hillrise was brand new. We would have both loved to live in the sixties, in a brand new, sixties-style Hillrise Home. I would have LOVED to see the original everything on my house. We have renovated the entire thing, and in my opinion it doesn't even look like Hillrise anymore. I've tried to keep my room as sixties/original Hillrise as possible, but my parents renovated my bathroom before I was born, so I'm stuck with these 1980's features-I guess you could say they're a bit sixties style-I mean nothing really was different in the twentieth century. But I will always love Hillrise, renovated or not. I just wish my parents had bought these sixties-style lights!

My favorite part of the new lights-taking them out of the box! I don't know why I find it so much fun to do. Most people hate opening stuff like this. I guess I just like opening stuff. When I was little, I loved undoing all of the twist ties that held my Barbie doll in its box. I know, I'm crazy.

Time to play in lights! I love this time of the season, can't you tell? I mean, I'm almost 15 1/2 (3 weeks away from getting my learner's permit for driving!) and I still do this. Can you tell I love acting half my age?

Okay, let's light this candle! Whitney got the BRILLIANT idea of testing the lights while I played in them. Well, at least they provided warmth from those winds outside.

My second favorite part of the day-rolling in the lights! No, I'm not the holiday version of Adele. (Nice try, though!) I can tell this is going to be a great holiday. You'll see more of me during the holiday, I promise! But for now,
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
